Established in 2001, the Dot NAME domain extension is the sole TLD intended for personal websites only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to book john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired third-level domain names remained running.

You will have the chance to correct the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer key from the current registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no specific restrictions on who can reserve a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
